Hockey in Colorado.....

Last Wednesday night, Marc and I got a night out.....a belated Valentine's date, so to speak. We went to a hockey game - to see the Penguins play the Avalanche.

A fellow soldier has season tickets and knows how much both Marc and I love hockey and our Penguins, so he offered the tickets to us. We snapped those babies right up and thanks to my good friend Robin, who watched the girls for me, we had our date night set!

We didn't do dinner beforehand, since we wanted to get there early for the preskate. You're able to go right down to the ice and watch the players warm up -- just like back home.

Racing for Heroes

Yesterday, our A Co. "Crew Dogs" participated in "Racing for Heroes" at the Unser indoor go-kart track. The event was held in conjunction with the Peak One Award program that recognizes the memory of Senior Airman Kristopher G. Mansfield (from Buckley).

Our boys raced against a unit from the Air Force and took first place, as well as earning individual trophies.

Danjela at the Dentist

This past Monday, we took Danjela to the dentist for the first time.  We found a fabulous pediatric dentist not too far from home.

Dr. Erin and her staff are amazing and Danjela was even more amazing.  No fear whatsoever.  For every visit, she gets a gold token to use in the gumball machine (filled with toys -- no candy....).  If she doesn't have any cavities, then she gets her picture up on the "Smile Wall."

And at her first visit, she made the smile wall.....no cavities!

And of course, Nadija just had to try out the chair with big sissy too!

Snowball Festival

Friday night, Danjela's school held it's annual Snowball Festival.  It's a fundraiser that the PTCO puts on, but mostly it's a fun family night filled with pizza, popcorn, games and dancing.

Danjela was so excited to go!  And I know Nadija had a good time too!
