Photos

Early in June, Marc and I attended our Yellow Ribbon weekend downtown. This was a weekend where we got all our information about deployment (information to help us through....not logisitical information).  There was a lot going on that weekend, but one of the fun things they had was a photography session for all the soldiers and their families.
Peggy Dyer - an awesome photographer - is on a journey to photograph one million faces over her photography career.  She graciously offered her services to our families this past weekend. She gave every soldier and their family a free photo session plus two free 4x6's.

Peggy is an amazing photographer and she truly makes you feel like you're in your own personal Vogue photoshoot....making you laugh with direction like "show me sexy" or "growl like a beast"....capturing those perfect moments....

Dancing in the Pool

So, I put up the girls' pool today (thanks Mom!) and they are loving it!  Especially Nadija who decided to do a little impromptu dance.....

(At about the 2 min. mark you'll hear a beeping....that's just an alert on my cell phone that you hear....)

Another Artist In The Family.....

Yesterday, Nadija spent a good part of the day exploring her inner artist......I just love her little drawings!!

Deployment News

Hi everyone!!

By now you all know that Marc has received orders for deployment this summer.  As you all are processing this news, we do have a few guidelines/requests for both his safety and for the safety of me and the girls.  This information is nothing different than the information that I pass along to my unit families.

1)  Please do NOT share anywhere publicly his exact deployment location and/or exact deployment dates.  Right now, dates are still a bit hazy....but as we get more definitive information, please do not share those dates.  It's ok to say that he's deploying "this summer to the Middle East".

2)  To pass along information, I will continue to use this blog which is secure and private.  Please do not share this blog information with anyone outside of the family.  As I get more email addresses from family members I will add them to the list so that they too, will be able to access this blog to read updates.  If there is someone that you would like to add, please send me an email with their email address.

3)  We will also be setting up a Facebook page for Marc to share photos and information as he can.  This Facebook page will also be secure and private.  Communication will be sporadic at best so as I hear from Marc, I will be updating the page as will he whenever he can get online.

4)  As soon as I get his address, I will pass that information along.  Please feel free to share it with anyone who is interested in sending him care packages/letters/cards/etc.  Once they get settled, I will have a list of approved items to send as well as a list of things he/the unit may need.

More information will be passed along as we get it.  But these are the basics to get us all started.  If you have any additional questions and/or concerns, please let me know!

Thanks for all your love and support as we get our family ready for another deployment!

Nadija Singing

While waiting to pick up Danjela from school, Nadija and I were listening to one of her CDs from last year's Bible School.  Needless to say, Nadija felt moved to sing along!  Enjoy!
